Description
The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor(s) to teach Fall 2026 ENTI 601 LEC 01, LEC 02, LEC 03 & LEC 04 (Entrepreneurial Thinking). Regular term classes in the Fall 2026 semester run from September 1 to December 4, 2025. Registrar Scheduled Exams will take place between December 8 to December 18, 2026, if applicable.

- LEC 01 Tuesdays 6:30pm - 9:15pm
- LEC 02 Wednesdays 6:30pm - 9:15pm
- LEC 03 Thursdays 6:30pm - 9:15pm
- LEC 04 Fall Block Week (Mon. August 24 - Fri. August 28) 8:30am - 5:30pm each day
Business leaders are challenged to think entrepreneurially - to seek opportunities and find ways to turn opportunities into viable ventures. These may be for-profit, not-for-profit, or social ventures. Students will engage in experiential learning to complete a feasibility assessment of such an opportunity, including the concept of giving back to society.
Qualifications- PhD or equivalent is required.
- Work or related experience in the field are desirable.
- Background in having started a new venture, having run a small business, or having worked with early-stage startups is desirable.
- Experience teaching entrepreneurship courses at the university level is required.
- Ability to ground teaching in scientific evidence and scholarship of entrepreneurship is required.
- Preference will be given to an applicant with previous experience teaching this course.
