The University of Calgary's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is hiring for two full-time Assistant Professors in Veterinary Anatomy. This tenure-track position emphasizes teaching excellence and innovative instruction.
As an integral part of the UCVM team, you will contribute to the DVM program through laboratory and didactic methods in veterinary anatomy. Candidates must demonstrate effective teaching in a large classroom setting and have expertise in comparative anatomy of domestic species. Responsibilities include course development and collaboration with technical staff to enhance educational materials and students' learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate anatomy instruction in laboratory and classroom settings
• Guide large cohorts of undergraduate veterinary students
• Lead course development and curriculum innovation
• Produce teaching specimens alongside technical support
• Participate in research initiatives to advance pedagogy
Requirements:
• DVM or PhD with relevant specialization
• Documented teaching experience in varied instructional formats
• Knowledge of comparative anatomy
• Skills in managing courses and supervising staff
