The University of Calgary is hiring Sessional Nursing Instructors for the upcoming Fall Term 2026 for the BScN NRSG
351 Health Promotion Practicum. Bring your expertise in nursing to inspire future leaders in healthcare.
This role, available from September 1 to December 4, requires instructors to be present for various teaching arrangements, including clinical placements and lab sessions. You'll foster students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills while assessing their practical competencies. Your participation in faculty governance will also enhance the collaborative academic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct undergraduate nursing students in diverse settings
• Assess and evaluate student performance effectively
• Participate in faculty meetings and collaborative governance
• Implement innovative teaching methods to support learning
• Create a supportive environment for evidence-based practice
Requirements:
• Eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
• Master’s degree preferred; consideration for BN/BScN
• Strong background in clinical nursing practice
• Experience in educational mentoring and supervision
• Solid communication and collaboration skills
