Teach BScN clinical courses as a Sessional Nursing Instructor at the University of Calgary during Fall and Winter . Join a team focused on equipping future nurses for success through hands-on education.
University of Calgary's Faculty of Nursing seeks qualified instructors for undergraduate clinical courses in various nursing specialties. Successful candidates will have nursing practice experience, particularly in rural and community settings, and previous teaching background. Responsibilities include engaging with students both on-site and remotely while facilitating various simulation activities and participating in assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate low- to mid-fidelity simulation activities
• Work with small groups on-campus and off-campus
• Participate in faculty governance meetings
• Assess and evaluate student performance
• Foster a culture of evidence-informed practice
Requirements:
• Eligible for registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta
• Experience in clinical teaching and mentoring
• Rural and Indigenous health practice experience
• Ability to engage with Indigenous Knowledge Keepers
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
