Become a Sessional Nursing Instructor at the University of Calgary! Focus on teaching BScN level courses this Fall and Winter Semester in Drayton Valley. The University of Calgary is seeking Sessional Nursing Instructors to educate undergraduate students in clinical courses for Fall Semester 2026 and Winter Semester 2027. Candidates should have experience in rural long-term care and community health, including educational experience.
Your role includes both in office labs and off-campus teaching responsibilities.
- Facilitate simulation activities in clinical learning settings
- Work with small student groups in various care environments
- Participate in faculty governance and practice course meetings
- Conduct student assessments and evaluations
- Apply diverse teaching strategies to enhance learning
- Eligible for registration with RNs of Alberta
- BN/BScN preparation is preferable
- Rural and Indigenous health practice experience
- Experience in clinical teaching and supervision
- Solid communication and collaboration skills
