About the Role
Limited‑term Assistant Professor position in the School of Nursing and Midwifery (August 15, 2026 – August 14, 2027). The successful candidate will be hired into the teaching/service pattern (TS) and may change to the teaching/scholarship/service pattern (TSS) after tenure.
Qualifications- Priority to candidates with experience in midwifery education.
- Qualified to teach all levels of midwifery courses and participate in course and program revisions and development.
- Preferred instructor qualifications in Fetal Health Surveillance, Neonatal Resuscitation, and midwifery Emergency Skills.
- Active Registered Midwife in Alberta or another Canadian jurisdiction; eligible for and must maintain registration with the College of Midwives of Alberta or another Canadian regulatory body.
- Master’s degree required; a PhD in Midwifery or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of current midwifery experience.
Dossier to include curriculum vitae, a list of three references, evidence of teaching excellence, and, if the TSS pattern is desired, evidence of intent to pursue a research program. Title the PDF as: “(Last Name), (Requisition Number), (Document).pdf” (e.g., Smith, 9999, CV.pdf).
