YMCA Calgary is seeking a dedicated Youth Worker for its Melcor YMCA at Crowfoot facility. This role involves direct intervention with secondary school students and includes supervision, group workshops, and close collaboration with program staff. Candidates should have a positive impact mindset as they foster connections with youth and their families through effective communication and community partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Intervene with secondary students in individual and group settings

• Support students with academic tasks and assigned schoolwork

• Facilitate group workshops on various development topics

• Communicate regularly with program supervisors about student engagement

• Maintain partnerships with referring schools and families

Requirements:

• 2-3 years experience in youth intervention

• Post-secondary education in social work or related fields

• Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification

• Clear Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search

• Strong administrative skills and flexibility in schedule
