Position: Part Time Preschool Educational Assistant Role

Join West Meadow Elementary School in Claresholm, Alberta, as a temporary Part Time Preschool Educational Assistant. Support preschool children in a safe, engaging, play-based learning environment.

This 0.5 FTE position, starting August 26, 2026, is dedicated to nurturing children aged 3-5. Collaborate closely with the Early Learning Coordinator and participate in professional development activities. A successful candidate will embrace building positive relationships with children and families while applying strategies from various educational professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create a play-based learning environment

• Provide inclusive preschool support

• Collaborate with school staff and coordinators

• Assist with toileting and diapering needs

• Engage in continuous professional learning activities

Requirements:

• Level 1 Early Childhood Educator certification or willingness to fund

• Current Police Information Check required

• Experience with child development principles

• Strong communication skills with children and families

• First Aid certificate is an asset
