Temporary Educational Assistant at West Meadow

Location: Claresholm

Support students at West Meadow Elementary School in Claresholm, Alberta, as a Temporary Educational Assistant. Foster a nurturing environment while collaborating with staff to enhance learning experiences.

This role begins on August 26th, 2026, and runs until June 25th, 2027. The ideal candidate will have a Level 1 Early Childhood Educator certification or be willing to pursue it. You will engage in play-based learning, contribute to an inclusive atmosphere, and collaborate closely with the Early Learning Coordinator and school leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand and promote the value of play in learning

• Support toileting and diapering needs of students

• Implement Alberta’s Early Learning and Care Framework

• Collaborate with educators to create an inclusive environment

• Participate in professional learning activities

Requirements:

• Level 1 Early Childhood Educator certification or commitment

• Valid Police Information Check and Intervention Record Check

• Experience with children aged 5–12 years

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Valid First Aid certificate preferred
