Join the Calgary Board of Education as an Educational Audiologist dedicated to supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. This position emphasizes direct student support and collaborative program development.
In this pivotal role, you will assist students facing significant challenges in accessing their educational environment. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team, providing capacity building for staff and delivering technical assistance for hearing technologies. A focus on flexibility and communication will enable you to effectively address diverse student profiles across K-12.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate test results with educational and medical data
• Conduct training sessions for staff on auditory issues
• Maintain and inventory auditory assistive devices
• Evaluate FM systems for selection and usage
• Write reports and maintain student progress records
Requirements:
• Master’s or Doctor of Audiology degree required
• Registration with ACSLPA is essential
• Three years of pediatric audiology experience needed
• Understanding of modern audiology technology
• Knowledge of American Sign Language is advantageous
