The City of Calgary is seeking enthusiastic individuals for part-time Skate and Hockey Instructor roles. Candidates should have a background in hockey, figure skating, or ringette, with a strong commitment to safety and customer service. Instructors will develop lesson plans, guide participants through skill progression, and maintain program records, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and instruct skating programs with enthusiasm
• Teach specific skills through progressive methods
• Develop comprehensive lesson plans and resources
• Ensure participant safety and well-being
• Maintain accurate program records and evaluations
Requirements:
• Minimum 16 years for Level 1; 18 for Level 2
• Strong background in hockey or figure skating
• 2 years teaching experience for Level 2
• NCCP certification is an asset
• Current Intermediate First Aid certificate
