Description
The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach Fall 2026 BTMA 467 LEC 01 (e-Business). Classes run from September 1 to December 4, 2026. Registrar Scheduled Exams will take place between December 8 to December 18, 2026, if applicable.
BTMA 459 (e-Business)
LEC 01 Friday 11:00am ‑ 1:45pm
The calendar description of the course: "Role, management and use of information technologies to enable a range of organizational and business relationships, models and strategies. Topics include developing an IT strategy; digital marketing; customer relationship management (CRM); supply chain management (SCM); planning, developing, and maintaining websites cloud computing; IT platforms; legal, privacy, and security issues; and information technologies for facilitating the use of data, knowledge, and multimedia."
Responsibilities- Teach the assigned e-Business course (BTMA 467 LEC 01 and BTMA 459 LEC 01) during the Fall 2026 semester.
- Develop and deliver course content, assessments, and learning materials in alignment with the departmental curriculum.
- Participate in faculty meetings, evaluations, and any required teaching workshops or professional development.
- Maintain open and timely communication with students and academic staff.
- Received an MBA and has work experience related to technology, received a PhD or PhD ABD in Business Technology Management, or is pursuing a PhD in Business Technology Management.
- Has prior post-secondary teaching experience.
- A demonstrated high level of expertise in information systems, business technology management, or a related field is required.
