Description
The Department of Computer Science within the Faculty of Science invites applications for a CPSC 433 Sessional Instructor for the Fall 2026 Term.

Course
Computer Science 433 - Artificial Intelligence
An examination of the objectives, key techniques and achievements of work on artificial intelligence in Computer Science.

Term Dates
Monday, Aug 24, 2026 to Thursday, Dec 24, 2026

Delivery Mode
All course components will be delivered in person.

Teaching Schedule
TuTh 12:30 - 13:45

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for instruction and associated duties for this 3-unit course during the Fall 2026 Term (in-person), including the supervision and direction of teaching assistants who will teach the tutorial sections.

Qualifications
Applicants should have a minimum of an MSc in Computer Science or a closely related discipline; a PhD is preferred. Preference will be given to graduate students and postdocs in our program looking to obtain teaching experience, followed by applicants with a postgraduate degree.

Remuneration
Remuneration is calculated according to the Collective Agreement, Schedule

B.

Employment Information
As per the Collective Agreement, the Department of Computer Science will adhere to the right of first refusal terms (Section 23.12.1 and 23.12.2) for Sessional Appointments.
