The Department of Computer Science within the Faculty of Science invites applications for a CPSC 383 Sessional Instructor for the Fall 2026 Term.
The successful candidate will have responsibilities for instruction and associated duties for this 3-unit course during the Fall 2026 Term (in-person), including the supervision and direction of teaching assistants that will teach the tutorial sections.
Computer Science 383 - Explorations in Artificial Intelligence and Machine LearningA survey of artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to cultivate an understanding of their capability, utility, and societal/ethical/legal considerations. Popular APIs will be used to develop simple applied examples.

QualificationsApplicants should have a minimum of an MSc in Computer Science or a closely related discipline - a PhD is preferred. Preference will be given to graduate students and postdocs in our program looking to obtain teaching experience, followed by applicants with a postgraduate degree.
As per the Collective Agreement, the Department of Computer Science will adhere to the right of first refusal terms (Section 23.12.1 and 23.12.2) for Sessional Appointments.
