Description
The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor(s) to teach Fall 2026 BTMA 317 Multiple Sections (Introduction to Business Technology Management). Classes in the Fall 2026 semester run from September 1 to December 4, 2026. Registrar Scheduled Exams will take place between December 8 to December 18, 2026, if applicable.

LEC 06 Tuesday/Thursday 12:30pm - 1:45pm; TUT 06 Thursday 6:30pm - 9:15pm

This section is offered in a blended format, with fully online lectures, tutorials available both online and in person, and required in-person attendance for major assessments.
The calendar description of the course:
"Focus is on digital business technology management and enterprise applications. Foundation areas include: digital business strategy, strategy alignment, enterprise analysis, IT platforms, data management, business analytics, IT governance, IT innovation, organizational impacts, and economic considerations. Technical skills are developed with an examination of managerial and leadership issues."
Qualifications
- Received an MBA and has work experience related to technology, received a PhD or PhD ABD in Business Technology Management, or is pursuing a PhD in Business Technology Management.
- Has prior post-secondary teaching experience.
- Has prior experience working with data visualization tools.
