Join the University of Calgary as a Sessional Instructor for CMMB 431, focusing on bacterial pathogens. This in-person teaching position starts on August 1, 2026.
The successful candidate will manage this 3-unit course under the Department of Biological Sciences. A minimum of an MSc in biological sciences is required, with a PhD considered advantageous. Previous teaching experience in this field and effective teaching methods will be crucial for success. Instruction topics range from antibiotic resistance to infections and treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach in person sessions on microbial pathogenesis
• Assess and provide student evaluations
• Develop an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
• Create and prepare relevant teaching materials

Requirements:
• Minimum of MSc;
PhD preferred
• Proven expertise in bacterial pathogens
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness required
