Position: Elementary Homeroom Teacher Needed

Join Assumption School as an Elementary Homeroom Teacher in Oyen, Alberta, with a start date of August 24th, 2026. This full-time role focuses on nurturing student growth in a Christian environment.

Assumption School is looking for a dedicated teacher for grades Kindergarten to 6, committed to Catholic values and community participation. In this role, you will support approximately 65 students, fostering a culture of collaboration among parents and staff. The position is probationary, lasting until June 30th, 2027, with potential for extension to further your impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective lessons for varied grade levels

• Create a vibrant and engaging classroom atmosphere

• Work closely with parents and colleagues for student growth

• Assess and adapt learning strategies based on student progress

• Engage with the broader school and faith community

Requirements:

• Teaching credential for grades Kindergarten to 6

• Strong alignment with Catholic educational principles

• Effective skills in classroom management

• Preferable experience in elementary teaching

• Certification in Catholic Education is an asset
