Position: Assistant Librarian for Science Engagement
Be a vital part of the University of Calgary as the Science Learning and Engagement Librarian. This position at Gallagher Library specializes in outreach and support for STEM disciplines including Physics and Astronomy.
In this 12-month sessional role, you will engage with students and faculty to facilitate advanced library services and educational initiatives. Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to enhance resource accessibility and support digital learning trends, including artificial intelligence utilization in research efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement specialized instructional content

• Provide consultations and reference support for research

• Promote library resources through campus outreach

• Keep abreast of trends in data management and scholarly communication

• Collaborate on library projects and resource development
Requirements:

• Master’s degree from an accredited program

• Experience delivering library instruction and outreach

• Aptitude for quick learning of new technologies

• Ability to operate effectively in dynamic settings

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
