Teach CPSC 528 - Spam and Spyware at the University of Calgary this Fall 2026. Deliver in-person lectures and guide students through cybersecurity challenges and ethical concerns.
This sessional position requires a passionate individual to instruct the CPSC 528 course, covering critical issues like spam, spyware, and their countermeasures. In addition to teaching, the instructor will manage teaching assistants, ensuring a seamless learning experience for students. Ideal candidates are well-versed in cybersecurity and eager to share their knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct in-person lectures on spam and spyware topics
• Supervise and support teaching assistants effectively
• Create and evaluate course assignments and projects
• Encourage discussion on legal and ethical implications
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
• Minimum MSc in Computer Science or similar area
• PhD candidates preferred for the role
• Previous teaching experience is advantageous
• Strong dedication to student engagement
• Submission of teaching philosophy and CV required
