Support Circuit Stream's innovative youth programs this summer as a Teaching Assistant, enhancing STEM education experiences. Engage with students, assist teachers, and manage classroom dynamics effectively.
This role is crucial for the 6-week program at the University of Calgary, running from June 29 to August 7, 2026. Working alongside instructors and the Youth Coordinator, you'll ensure students remain focused, troubleshoot technical issues, and promote a safe learning environment. Additionally, you will supervise breaks and prepare classroom supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide classroom management assistance to instructors
• Clarify lessons and engage students effectively
• Facilitate group work and interactions
• Assist students with technical troubleshooting
• Prepare classroom areas and resources daily
Requirements:
• Programming experience with Python preferred
• Background in STEM youth programs or tutoring preferred
• Enrollment in a university or college program
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Valid First-Aid and CPR certification required
