The University of Calgary’s School of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures and Cultures seeks qualified Spanish sessional instructors. This role requires a Ph.D. or doctoral candidacy and near-native proficiency in Spanish and English. Previous university-level teaching experience is essential to engage students effectively in a supportive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach SPAN 201 - Beginners' Spanish I
• Engage students in an in-person classroom setting
• Develop course materials and assessments
• Collaborate with staff on course content
• Foster a supportive learning environment
Requirements:
• Ph.D. or doctoral candidacy by term start
• Native proficiency in Spanish and English
• Prior university-level teaching experience
• Full CV and supporting documents required
• Teaching evaluations preferred but not mandatory
