Out of Area Field Instructors

Position: Out of Area Field Experience Instructors Needed
The University of Calgary is inviting applications for Sessional Instructors for Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 to support students in Out of Area placements. This role focuses on providing enriching experiences to Bachelor of Education students in diverse communities.

Instructors will travel to rural and remote locations to conduct in-person visits and support virtual learning. Key responsibilities include fostering inquiry and collaboration while effectively engaging with students. This position requires flexibility and the ability to adapt based on the students' needs and community context, making it an essential role in the educators' training process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-person visits to student communities

• Facilitate online meetings for support

• Develop inquiry-based learning environments

• Collaborate with local schools and communities

• Participate in course-specific team meetings

Requirements:

• Doctorate in education or equivalent master’s degree

• At least five years of teaching experience preferred

• Proven ability to work in both online and physical settings

• Recent experience in a teaching partnership beneficial

• Proven dedication to professional growth
