The Opportunity

Temporary full‑time (1.0 FTE) Learning Support teaching position starting August 27, 2026, until June 29, 2027 at Chestermere Lake Middle School.

Chestermere Lake Middle School is located in the City of Chestermere and is home to students from grades 7-9.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years classroom teacher experience
  • 1-year educational background or experience in one of the following areas:
  • Learning Supports
  • Inclusive Education
  • Special Education
  • Disability Studies
Pre‑employment Requirements
  • Applicants must possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. To be eligible, you must have applied for initial certification with Alberta Education.
  • Must submit a current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of employment.
  • Must provide a professional letter of reference, attached to the job application, from the most recent supervisor, written on company letterhead, signed and dated within the past 18 months; or a list of updated references of a current/recent supervisor on your application.
