Join Rundle College as a School Counsellor for K-6 students in Calgary, Alberta, focusing on personal and academic support in a part-time capacity. Collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance student success.
This role at Rundle College allows you to support Kindergarten to Grade 6 students with their emotional and academic needs. You will engage directly with students and their families while collaborating with teachers and administrators. The position involves leading social emotional learning programs and ensuring compliance with relevant documentation and best practices in education
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide brief and effective counselling for students
• Develop SEL programs tailored to student needs
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams to address concerns
• Maintain compliant records and documents
• Organize events promoting mental health awareness
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in counselling or social sciences
• At least 2 years in school counselling settings
• Strong skills in child behaviour and mental health
• Independent decision-making and initiative required
• Awareness of restorative practices is beneficial
