Temporary Grade 1 Teacher Position at Al Amal

Al Amal Academy is looking for an energetic Grade 1 Teacher for a full-time temporary role starting October 19, 2026, lasting through the  school year. Bring your creativity and passion for teaching young learners to our team!

As a temporary Grade 1 teacher, you will inspire students through dynamic, hands-on learning experiences while delivering the Alberta Education curriculum. Your strong interpersonal skills and commitment to fostering a nurturing environment will support young learners' foundational literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development. Collaborating closely with families and colleagues is a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop engaging and hands-on lesson plans

• Teach the Alberta Education curriculum to Grade 1 students

• Create a nurturing, respectful classroom atmosphere

• Utilize technology and diverse instructional methods

• Support holistic student development and well-being

Requirements:

• Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate necessary

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Passion for inspiring young students
