Your role will involve the creation and delivery of course content that empowers students through an Indigenous lens in science. You will engage students with local Elders and Indigenous scientists, fostering a rich and dynamic classroom environment. Candidates should be skilled in delivering interactive lectures and providing strong support to enhance student learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and run engaging course content
• Provide learning opportunities with Indigenous community leaders
• Conduct lectures and practical science discussions
• Offer feedback and support to student development
• Maintain an inclusive classroom atmosphere
Requirements:
• Master’s degree is required;
Ph.D. preferable
• Evidence of effective teaching at the post-secondary level
• Strong communication abilities with a focus on engagement
• Experience with D2L is an asset
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion in education
