The University of Calgary is hiring a Sessional Instructor for ENGO 579/669, Survey Law and Practice in Fall 2026. This position seeks candidates with engineering degrees and a strong teaching background.
In this role, you will lead courses covering survey law, property rights, and related topics while engaging students in effective learning. The ideal candidate should have a strong educational foundation, relevant professional experience, and prior success in teaching. Candidates must be licensed to practice engineering in Alberta to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct lectures on Survey Law and Practice
• Supervise lab sessions and field exercises
• Cover topics like boundaries, property interests, and reforms
• Evaluate student work and provide constructive feedback
• Develop and organize course materials
Requirements:
• Must hold a Master’s degree in engineering
• Proven track record in teaching or educational potential
• Must be APEGA licensed or equivalent
• Commitment to high-quality engineering education
• Canadian citizens or permanent residents given preference.
