Join Start 2 Finish as a Volunteer Mentor in Calgary, focusing on helping Grades 1-6 students enjoy reading and staying active through fun activities each Wednesday.
As a Run & Read Club Mentor, you will be an integral part of an after-school program aimed at fostering literacy and healthy habits in children aged 6-13. You will engage in fitness activities, read with the children, serve healthy snacks, and guide them through literacy games for two hours weekly. Commitment is essential to ensure ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate fitness activities that promote health
• Read with children in a supportive environment
• Serve healthy snacks to encourage nutrition
• Lead literacy games and interactive learning activities
Requirements:
• Minimum age requirement of 16 years
• Willingness to undergo a background check
• Agree to follow the volunteer code of conduct
• Comfortable traveling to the designated location
Support a love for reading and active living in young students through Start 2 Finish in Calgary.
