The Werklund School of Education, Graduate Programs, at the University of Calgary invites applications for a term certain Sessional Instructor position for Fall 2026. The term runs from August 24 to December 18, 2026.
ResponsibilitiesSessional instructors will teach online and on campus graduate courses that are integral parts of the graduate programs in the Werklund School of Education. They will deliver content for courses such as EDPS 763 – School‑ and Clinic‑based Interventions, including didactic teaching, interactive discussion, and hands‑on practice of cognitive behaviour therapy techniques. They will also facilitate classroom discussions and guide students through the Unified Protocols for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders in Children and Adolescents.
Position Requirements- A completed doctorate in psychology or a related field, registration as a psychologist.
- Evidence of successful teaching and leadership experience in workplace, university or school settings.
- Demonstrated experience in online/distance education for courses delivered online or in a blended format.
- Capacity to work effectively in a collaborative culture.
- Knowledge and understanding of the programs and specializations in Educational Psychology will also be considered as assets for the sessional teaching positions.
