Position: Sessional Instructor - REAL 317 LEC 01, Fall 2026, Haskayne School of Business

Description

The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor(s) to teach Fall 2026 REAL 317 LEC 01 on Wednesdays from 18:30‑21:15. The Fall 2026 semester runs from September 1 to December 4 2026. Registrar scheduled exams will take place between December 8 to December 18, 2026 if applicable.

Course Summary

REAL 317 – Real Estate Development & Urbanization. LEC 01:
Wednesday 18:30‑21:15. Overview of the real estate industry value chain, from raw land and built form through asset management. Addresses different sectors and business models, environmental, political, social and technology considerations and trends.

Qualifications
  • MBA degree or equivalent and work experience in the field are desirable.
  • Previous post‑secondary teaching experience is a requirement.
  • Experience in programs such as Zoom, D2L and other digital education products would be an asset.
