Description
The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach Fall 2026 BTMA 459 LEC 01 (Decision Support Application Development using VBA Programming). Classes run from September 1 to December 4, 2026. Registrar scheduled exams will take place between December 8 and December 18, 2026, if applicable.
Course Description"Students will work with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to create decision support systems and other applications across Microsoft Office Suite applications. Students will also learn how to use VBA skills to produce business applications. The focus of the course will be the creation of applications that will allow managers to make meaningful decisions using available data like financial and other industry data from both internal and external sources."
Qualifications- Received an MBA and has work experience related to technology, received a PhD or PhD ABD in Business Technology Management, or is pursuing a PhD in Business Technology Management.
- Has prior post‑secondary teaching experience.
- Proven experience with VBA is required.
The amount of remuneration is calculated according to the Collective Agreement, Schedule
B. The terms and conditions of this appointment, including salary, are governed by the collective agreement between the Faculty Association of the University of Calgary and the Governors of the University of Calgary.
