EDPS 681 – Theories and Skills of Counseling

Introduction to major theories of counselling, counselling micro‑skills, and interviewing skills.
ResponsibilitiesTeach the graduate course online and on campus, deliver course content, design and grade assignments, provide academic support to students, maintain academic integrity, and participate in the collaborative culture of the Werklund School of Education.
Qualifications- Completed doctorate in psychology or related field, registration as a psychologist.
- Evidence of successful teaching and leadership experience in workplace, university or school settings.
- Demonstrated experience in online/distance education for courses delivered online or in a blended format.
- Capacity to work effectively in a collaborative culture.
- Knowledge and understanding of the programs and specializations in Educational Psychology (considered an asset).
