Position RequirementsAll teacher‑tutors work during after‑school and evening hours (4:00 pm ‑ 8:00 pm) as well as some Saturdays (10:00 am ‑ 3:00 pm). A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred, continuing through summer is even better. This role is in‑person; relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
Students will appreciate a reliable, engaging tutor. You must commute to the Calgary location and be able to teach Grades 9‑12 math & science.
Education- Bachelor’s degree or comparable certification in a relevant field
- Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
- Teaching certification is an asset
- Good knowledge of the current Grades 9‑12 math and science curriculum, particularly senior math (Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Vectors) and science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
- Some experience teaching/tutoring math and science at Grade 9‑12 (or equivalent) level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills
- Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
- Teach up to three students at a time at different levels
- Teach both online and in‑person following Oxford Learning methodologies
- Fill in post‑lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates
- Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times

Part‑time
Salary$17 – $19 per hour
Schedule- Evenings (4:00 pm – 8:00 pm)
- Monday‑Friday
- Saturday availability (10:00 am – 3:00 pm)
