Northwest Grade 2 Teacher

Position: Northwest Grade 2 Teacher Role
Al Amal Academy is looking for a full-time Grade 2 Teacher to inspire and guide students within a faith-centered community in Northwest Calgary.

This full-time (1.0 FTE) position for the  school year awards innovative educators the chance to design engaging, hands-on learning experiences across core subjects. You will promote essential literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development while fostering a nurturing classroom environment where students thrive. Your skills in communication and collaboration will help create a supportive community among families, colleagues, and students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons aligned with Alberta Education curriculum

• Encourage student development through creative teaching methods

• Use technology and diverse strategies to support all learners

• Collaborate effectively with families and fellow educators

• Provide a caring atmosphere for students’ growth

Requirements:

• Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate is mandatory

• Strong commitment to shaping young lives in faith-based education

• Excellent communication and instructional skills

• Experience in creating a supportive learning community

• Completion of required background checks
