Rundle College is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and collaborative teacher to teach 7-9 Science classes.
Duties & Responsibilities- Establish a warm, caring, and engaging learning environment where students feel safe, respected and valued.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to create a personalized learning experience for all students.
- Communicate effectively with parents to provide ongoing feedback and support.
- Participate in faculty and professional meetings, assemblies and various professional development opportunities.
- Attend events, report for supervision, and contribute to the co-curricular offerings, as is expected of a full-time teacher at Rundle.
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal.
- Alberta Teaching Certification
- Police information check completed with a vulnerable sector verification within the last 6 months.
- Must be flexible, collaborative and have a positive, growth mindset.
- Confident user of technology and able to utilize it in instructional practice.
- Ability to develop strong partnerships with teachers, parents, and administration.
- Demonstrate an open mind and desire to improve practice through professional reading and/or participating in relevant professional development opportunities.
- Previous experience working in an independent school is considered an asset.
- Coaching experience is considered an asset.
