Position: Sessional Dance Instructor for Fall 2026
Ambrose University seeks a Sessional Dance Instructor for the Fall 2026 semester. Teach the DA 103 Dance Fundamentals course, focusing on classical and contemporary techniques.

As part of a collaborative faculty, you will guide students through an introductory course exploring rhythm, improvisation, and choreography. This role involves preparing classes, evaluating students, and delivering engaging lectures and studio work specific to dance fundamentals. You will be integral in fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and teach engaging dance classes

• Assess student understanding and progress

• Create and manage course syllabi effectively

• Introduce anatomy and dance history in lessons

• Promote improvisation and choreography skills

Requirements:

• Master’s degree or significant professional experience

• Demonstrated undergraduate teaching success

• Team-oriented and collaborative approach

• Strong background in live performance and choreography

• Local residency in Calgary, Alberta
