Position: Sessional Instructor - MKTG 493 LEC 01, Fall 2026, Haskayne School of Business

Description

The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach Fall 2026 MKTG 493 L01 (Strategic Marketing) Tuesday 11:00am - 1:45pm. Classes run from September 1 to December 4, 2026. Registrar scheduled exams will take place between December 8 and December 18, 2026.

MKTG 493 (Strategic Marketing)

LEC 01 Tuesday 11:00am - 1:45pm

Marketing strategy is explored in the context of overall corporate strategy. The course integrates the aspects of the market mix into formal planning systems and focuses on strategic responses to changing customer needs and competitive activities.

Responsibilities
  • Teach MKTG 493 L01 (Strategic Marketing) during the Fall 2026 semester.
Qualifications
  • MBA degree or equivalent and work experience in the field are desirable.
  • Previous post‑secondary teaching experience is required.
  • Teaching experience using Marketing Strategy simulation games (e.g., Mark Strat, Sabre) is desirable.
