Independent Brass Teacher

Position: Independent Brass Teacher Contract
Become an Independent Brass Teacher at Long & McQuade in Calgary. This contract position is ideal for music educators looking to teach on weeknights and weekends.

In this role, you'll work as an independent contractor, offering tailored lessons to students of all ages. Long & McQuade's Lesson Centres provide a dedicated space for a variety of musical lessons. Your teaching experience is key to fostering a love of music in your students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach brass lessons to students at different skill levels

• Utilize effective teaching methods to facilitate learning

• Track student achievements and growth

• Engage with students to enhance their musical journey

• Participate in collaborative teaching efforts within the Lesson Centre

Requirements:

• Music degree or diploma from an accredited college/university

• Grade 8 RCM standing plus Grade 2 Rudiments

• Teaching experience with students of various ages

• Familiarity with standard lesson curricula

• Accepting professional equivalents for teaching qualifications
