Description
Term certain Sessional Instructor position for Fall 2026 at the Werklund School of Education, University of Calgary. The term runs from August 24 to December 18, 2026. The role involves teaching online and on‑campus graduate courses that are integral parts of the graduate programs in Educational Psychology, which includes Educational Studies in Counselling Psychology and in School and Applied Child Psychology.

EDPS 693.28 Brain/Behaviour Relationships:
Part I – Delivery:
Online. This course examines brain/behaviour relationships specific to learning, memory, and forgetting, the development of these processes across the lifespan, executive functioning difficulties, social‑emotional competencies, psychopathology, mental health issues, and early intervention for atypical neurodevelopment.
Educational Psychology, including Educational Studies in Counselling Psychology and in School and Applied Child Psychology.
Desired Qualifications- A completed doctorate in psychology or a related field, registration as a psychologist.
- Evidence of successful teaching and leadership experience in workplace, university or school settings.
- Demonstrated experience in online/distance education for courses delivered online or in a blended format.
- Capacity to work effectively in a collaborative culture.
- Knowledge and understanding of the programs and specializations in Educational Psychology will also be considered as assets for the sessional teaching positions.
