Family Ministries Director

If you love children and their families, and those who work with them, we’d really like to talk with you!

We are seeking a permanent, part-time Family Ministries Director (20–22 hours per week) who will give primary leadership to our children’s ministry (DC Kids and midweek Clubs) and, together with our staff team, help strategize our approach to care for and reach out to parents, couples, and young adults. We’re looking for a leader who loves Jesus and his Word, and whom longs to see Christ formed in children and their families through learning the Scriptures and being in meaningful relationship with others who do too.

Dalhousie Church is a medium-sized, multi-generational church in NW Calgary, with grandparents, parents, and children worshipping together and a strong culture of volunteering. Our children’s ministry is well established, with committed and skilled teachers and leaders serving on Sunday mornings and in our mid-week Clubs program. We have a fabulous church building with large children’s ministry spaces, including a full‑sized gym, and a strong staff team that enjoys one another and cross‑ministry collaboration.

We’re asking the Lord to bring us together with someone who loves to minister with others on a team—equipping and supporting volunteers, leading and teaching children directly (sometimes), and envisioning ministry that invests in families over the long term. We’ve had recent encouragement running The Marriage Course and believe we can build on this within our church family, as well as connect with couples beyond the walls of our church.

We want to continue to grow in our outreach to NW Calgary. As capacity allows, this role will help us expand in these areas through family and marriage ministry.

So… you love Jesus, his church, and his Word, and you are eager to see Christ formed in children, youth, and families. …you have experience in children and/or family ministries, ministry training (such as Bible college or seminary) and meet the biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership. …you affirm the Mennonite Brethren Confession of Faith and Dalhousie Churches mission, and you have a heart to serve within an evangelical congregation, in partnership with a talented pastoral team and committed bunch of volunteers.
