The Department of Computer Science within the Faculty of Science invites applications for a Sessional Instructor for the Fall 2026 Term
.
The successful candidate will have responsibilities for instruction and associated duties for this 3-unit course during the Fall 2026 Term (in-person), including the supervision and direction of teaching assistants that will teach the tutorial sections.
Course DescriptionData Science 221 – Introduction to Data Science
An introduction to commonly used programming tools and techniques for managing, visualizing, and making sense of data. Human implications of data collection, analysis, and use, including ethics, privacy, and alternate ways of knowing.

QualificationsApplicants should have a minimum of an MSc in Computer Science or a closely related discipline – a PhD is preferred. Preference will be given to graduate students and postdocs in our program looking to obtain teaching experience, followed by applicants with a postgraduate degree.
