Teaching and Learning Assistant

Position: Full-Time Teaching and Learning Assistant
Support inclusive education as a full-time Teaching and Learning Assistant with Student Services from September 2026 to June 2027. Collaborate closely with teachers and engage families in student learning.

The Teaching and Learning Assistant will work directly with the classroom teacher in fostering a supportive learning environment. Your responsibilities include aiding in planning educational experiences, assessing student progress, and gathering evidence of their learning. You will also champion inclusivity and participate actively in school community engagement while demonstrating professionalism in interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support planning responsive teaching and learning strategies

• Collect evidence of student progress and adapt instruction

• Maintain a supportive and safe learning environment

• Engage collaboratively with families and the community

• Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions

Requirements:

• Teacher's Certificate Level Two from the Department of Education

• Skills in planning and organizing learning experiences

• Ability to assess and report on student progress

• Strong interpersonal and organizational communication

• Commitment to ongoing professional development
