The School of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures and Cultures is seeking qualified French sessional instructors for Fall 2026 courses. Deliver engaging instruction in-person for intermediate and advanced French classes.
We invite applications for three in-person courses: FREN 213, FREN 227, and FREN 329. Ideal candidates will have a PhD in French along with native or near-native fluency in both French and English. Experience teaching undergraduate courses is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach FREN 213:
Intermediate French MWF 10:00-10:50
• Deliver FREN 227:
La Grammaire par les textes II MF 11:00-12:15
• Instruct FREN 329:
Expression écrite et orale MF 14:00-15:15
• Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials
• Assess student performance and provide feedback
Requirements:
• PhD in French preferred
• Native or near-native fluency in French and English
• Experience teaching at the university level
• Relevant teaching evaluations (if available)
• Current CV and contact for referees
