Shape future communicators by teaching Digital Rhetoric as a Sessional Instructor at the University of Calgary for Fall 2026. Bring your expertise and inspire students in-person this term.
The University of Calgary is seeking a Sessional Instructor for the course COMS 463 - LEC 01. Ideal candidates will possess a PhD or MA in a relevant field and have experience teaching at the undergraduate level. This is an excellent chance to influence students’ understanding of digital communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Digital Rhetoric courses in person, Monday and Wednesday
• Develop engaging course materials and assessments
• Provide academic mentorship to undergraduate students
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment
• Evaluate and grade student performance
Requirements:
• PhD or MA in Communication, Media or related discipline
• Teaching experience at a university level
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Familiarity with relevant teaching methodologies
• Ability to meet July 30, 2026 Final date to receive applications
