English and Cosmetology Teaching

Position: English and Cosmetology Teaching Position
Rocky View Schools invites applications for a full-time English and Cosmetology teaching role at Chestermere High School, commencing August 27, 2026. Bring your expertise to inspire students in grades 10-12 through interactive and innovative teaching methods.

The successful candidate will hold or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate and ideally possess a Red Seal Certificate. In this role, you will contribute to the personal and academic growth of students, fostering a sense of belonging and enthusiasm for learning. This teaching opportunity is not available to those with existing Continuing Teaching contracts with RVS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Educate high school students in English and Cosmetology disciplines

• Create effective and inspiring lesson plans

• Support inclusive education and diverse learning styles

• Assess and report on student progress and achievement

• Engage with parents and the community to promote education

Requirements:

• Possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate

• Professional reference letter or final practicum report required

• Submit a clear criminal record with Vulnerable Sector Check

• Strong collaborative and communication skills

• Passion for teaching and student development
