Mount Royal University is seeking an experienced funeral professional to instruct Funeral Directing I for the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves delivering the course online, preparing learning materials, managing assessments, and engaging with students virtually. Applicants must have substantial experience in the funeral profession along with teaching capabilities in adult education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate online course delivery using established curriculum
• Prepare course outlines and manage course D2L site
• Mark assessments and submit final grades
• Maintain regular contact with program team and participate in meetings
• Adhere to program policies and deadlines
Requirements:
• Licensed funeral professional with 3–5 years of experience
• Teaching experience in adult education or online
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in D2L and Google Workspace
• Knowledge of copyright and APA citation
