Advance Indigenous student success with SAIT as an Indigenous Housing, Success, and Retention Specialist. Lead programs that foster belonging, wellbeing, and academic achievement for Indigenous learners.
In this temporary full-time role, you will oversee SAIT's Indigenous Student Housing Program. Your collaboration with Student Services will help design retention strategies that enhance persistence and completion outcomes for Indigenous students. You will employ data-informed approaches to navigate educational journeys and create culturally safe support systems for learners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the Indigenous Student Housing Program and bursary administration
• Develop proactive strategies for student retention and academic success
• Identify and support students facing personal or academic challenges
• Collaborate to offer holistic, culturally safe support services
• Analyze program data to recommend improvements
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Indigenous Studies or related field
• 3-5 years experience working with Indigenous Peoples in education
• Strong communication and project management skills
• Knowledge of culturally responsive practices
• Proficiency with data management and reporting systems
Leverage strategic thinking and data analysis to enhance Indigenous student success at SAIT.
