Drive impactful public legal education at the Alberta Civil Liberties Research Centre as their Education Lead. This full-time hybrid role emphasizes community engagement and innovative workshop creation.
ACLRC is on the lookout for an energetic lawyer with a passion for civil liberties to lead their public education programs in Alberta. You will design engaging learning resources, deliver workshops, and foster partnerships with schools and community groups. Mentoring students and addressing contemporary legal issues are integral components of this diverse role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and advance ACLRC's legal education initiatives
• Create and deliver dynamic workshops and presentations
• Foster partnerships with governments and local organizations
• Enhance fee-for-service training offerings
• Mentor and guide articling students and volunteers
Requirements:
• JD or LLB with Law Society of Alberta membership
• Experience in educational program delivery
• In-depth knowledge of civil liberties and human rights
• Strong communication and facilitation abilities
• Skill in making legal concepts accessible to varied audiences
