Biological Sciences Sessional Instructor

Engage students in Biological Sciences at the University of Calgary as a Sessional Instructor for Fall 2026. This role encompasses course instruction and coordination, blending Western biology with Indigenous perspectives.
The successful candidate will lead a 3-unit course that prepares students for further studies in biology, integrating high school and university biology concepts with Indigenous Ways of Knowing. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree in biological sciences or education, along with teaching experience and curriculum design.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide instruction and course coordination for Biology 212
• Integrate Indigenous Ways of Knowing in curriculum development
• Facilitate inclusive learning environments for diverse students
• Prepare students for Biology 211/213 prerequisites
• Administer lab coordination and assessments
Requirements:
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in biological sciences or education
• Teaching experience with Indigenous curriculum integration
• Proven effectiveness in teaching and student engagement
• Submission of cover letter and current CV required
• Three letters of reference needed
