The Werklund School of Education at the University of Calgary invites applications for term certain Sessional Instructor positions for the Winter 2027 term in Educational Psychology. Sessional instructors will teach online and on campus graduate courses that are integral parts of the graduate programs in the Werklund School of Education.
Graduate Programs in Education (GPE) has over 1000 graduate students registered in seven (7) specializations. EDPS 696Social, Emotional, and Behavioural Assessment and Intervention

A focus on the assessment and intervention of children and youth who exhibit significant social, emotional, and behavioural needs in school and community settings.
Position RequirementsEducational Psychology:
Educational Psychology consists of Educational Studies in Counselling Psychology and in School and Applied Child Psychology.
- A completed doctorate in psychology or a related field, registration as a psychologist.
- Evidence of successful teaching and leadership experience in workplace, university or school settings.
- Demonstrated experience in online/distance education for courses delivered online or in a blended format.
- Capacity to work effectively in a collaborative culture.
- Knowledge and understanding of the programs and specializations in Educational Psychology will also be considered as assets for the sessional teaching positions.
